VOTE FOR OUR ISLAND AND OUR CLIMATE

If there were ever a year where your vote counts, this is the one. Make sure you vote.
This year’s race for Martha’s Vineyard Commission (MVC) is very important to local climate work. 
There is one commissioner, Ben Robinson, who has been working tirelessly on climate. Thanks to his dedication we now have an MVC Climate Action Task Force.  
Because of the way the MVC voting process works, and the fact that Ben is running in a town with 3 candidates, we stand to lose our strongest climate advocate if we do not vote strategically!

Tips for Voting Strategically
* Vote only for the candidate(s) you strongly support. Voting for all 9 on the ballot may distort the results and dilute your support for your chosen candidates.
* To support island climate work, the strongest thing is to vote only for Ben Robinson.
 
We normally would not be so pointed in our support for one candidate, but, the work of this particular Commissioner is key to the future of island climate action.

An Island Fishing and Farming Short 

Monday October 12th at 7pm

The Island Climate Action Network, with the support of the Martha’s Vineyard Vision Fellowship and the Martha’s Vineyard Film Festival, has created a short film about how our island farmers and fishermen are experiencing and adapting to climate change.
