Sakiko Isomichi is a student at the Divinity School and a member of the Council of Student Sustainability Leaders. She is studying waste, ethnography, and Arabic language. A native of rural Japan, she grew up wandering around the rice paddies and cedar forest catching frogs and playing with plants. Today, as an Arabic language learner with a background in farming and waste studies, she explores a role of emotions and morality in the way people talk about and interact with waste and food.
