MV Wildtype – Vineyard Native Plants for a Climate Resilient Garden w/ Tim Boland
There are many good reasons for growing native plants. Native plants are adapted to local growing conditions; they promote biodiversity and support local wildlife; and in general, they need less maintenance. Join Polly Hill Arboretum Director Tim Boland as he shares the Arboretums native plant production program, and how anyone can create a beautiful and biodiverse garden by the simple and joyful act of planting native plants.
Tim Boland is the executive director of the Polly Hill Arboretum. He is trained both as a horticulturist and plant taxonomist with a specialization in North American Oaks. In 2006 he started the native plant production program called MV Wildtype to provide both homeowners and conservation organizations locally grown native plants.
